BOth a lot & a little going on
Lots of things have been going on with me, but little of it has to do with my business. I've had a tough go of things, health-wise, this year. My most recent was a routine, elective eye surgery on 11/21 to remove a large floater that has been stuck in the center of my left eye for approximately 4 years. About 5 days after my surgery I had a detached retina. This is a complication that is very rare (1%) but I had to go back in to the OR on 12/5 to fix the detached retina. I am in pain. I also caught a cold which is not making things any easier. I have been able to get a few pieces of photography work done (I shot the Bush concert on 12/1 with a detached retina and created a wedding album for a client last week with one eye). I am also recovering from ulnar nerve paralysis in my left arm, which I injured on 8/1 while photographing at the CrossFit Games in Madison. Sigh. Part of me wants 2024 to get here quick so I can get this year over with- ha ha ha.
I really wanted to let you all know why I've been quiet over the past few weeks. It was all of this plus some IT problems with my email service company. I'm working thorugh all of this and hopefully I'll be able to get back to my regular email schedule soon.
